Where you start

First year

I've never danced

The starting point. You learn to stay on the beat, to move with someone else and the basic figures: after a few classes you're dancing on the floor. No experience needed, and no partner needed.

  • 8.30 pm-9.30 pmtuesday · Main

Second year

I've done one year

You widen your vocabulary and work on the quality of movement and on the music. Anyone who started in January goes through the September refresher classes first.

  • 9.30 pm-10.30 pmtuesday · Red Room

And the short courses

Short programs on a single theme — two, three or four classes — outside the level program: you can take them without being enrolled in a course.

Shake off the rust · Boogie Woogie

Four classes to wake up your muscle memory, get your feet going again and find your flow after the summer break.

Fancy Breaks

Showy, fun, theatrical moves to close the musical phrase with energy and personality, and plenty of ways to add a break to social dancing.

Boogie Routine · Intermediate

A sequence of intermediate moves, made to have fun with the music and at the same time memorize new movements to use on the floor.

Footwork Variations

The rhythmic variations of Boogie Woogie, beyond the basic steps: how to play with time, accents and syncopation.

To be there

Wednesdays, September 23 and 30, at 8.00 pm. Free, but you have to book your place.
